After seeing Mt Olympus and the Hoh glacier from the peak of Mt Angeles in 2021, we decided we needed to climb it.

In mid-June 2023 we came back with a group of six for the full Sea to Summit.

Starting with our feet in the ocean at Ruby Beach, three of us rode bikes to the Hoh River trailhead, where we met up with the rest of the group. We threw our bikes in the cars and started hiking the next morning.

The full trip took 4 days. 32 miles on bike, 41 miles hiking; we reached the summit on the morning of day 3.

The weather was perfect; we narrowly beat a whiteout on the way down.
